The derricks used for oil drilling were named after the English executioner Thomas Derrick, the famous inventor of gallows. Architects Leopold Banchini and Daniel Zamarbide reassess this dark story by distilling calvados with the help of a handcrafted alembic. Thomas wakes up alcohol fumes from underground bars as well as oil fields.
