Guillaume Désanges is curator and art critic, founder of Work Method, a Paris based agency for curatorial projects. Former member of the editorial board of Trouble Magazine, he collaborates with the magazines Exit Express and Exit Book (Madrid). He coordinated the artistic projects of Laboratoires dâ??Aubervilliers between 2001 and 2007. He developed several performed conference projects like "A History of Performance in 20 Minutes" (Centre Pompidou, Paris / De Appel, Amsterdam / MacVal, Paris / U-Turn, Copenhagen, Artists Space, New York, etc..), "Vox Artisti, his Mastersâ?? Voice" (Halles de Schaerbeek, Brussels / Betonsalon, Paris / Universiy of Chicago), "Signs and Wonders" (Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou). He organized the exhibitions â??Pick-Upâ? at Public>, Paris 2004 and STUK, Leuven (Belgium), 2008, â??Untouchable, The transparency Idealâ? at Villa Arson, Nice and Museo Patio Herreriano, Valladolid, in 2006-2007, â??Jiri Kovanda Vs rest of the Worldâ? at gallery gb agency, Paris, De Appel (Amsterdam), Centre dâ??Art Santa Monica (Barcelone), "Childâ??s Play", Biennale Periferic, (Iasi, Rumania), Nam June Paik Center (South Korea), "Michel François, Plans for escape" at SMAK (Belgium) in 2009. In 2007-2008, he is invited curator at Centre dâ??Art Contemporain La Tôlerie and in 2009-2011 at the art centre le Plateau-Frac Ile de France, Paris, for a 2 years programmation "Concrete Erudition". In 2011 he was co-curator with Hélène Guenin of the exhibition "Erre" at the Centre Pompidou-Metz and curator of the exhibition "2001-2011 : Suddenly-Yet"at the French National School Gallery. He is member of the purchase commission of the FRAC Lorraine Art Center.
